Hi! My name is Emma Bellomo. My husband, our cat, and I moved to St. Petersburg, FL in 2019 from New Jersey to start our life as newlyweds in a much warmer and more beautiful environment. Saint Pete,FL really got our attention because of the vibrancy of the local neighborhood. We love supporting small local businesses and contributing to the local economy.

 

We thought this would be a perfect place to meet like-minded people and start my own business as a birth doula. Saint Pete is a very young community and we can’t wait to meet our new neighbors!

In addition to my birth doula training, I have my bachelor’s degree in both Sociology and Social Work. As someone who has worked in these three fields, I understand the importance of practicing empathy daily. I have a very calming presence, which I believe will help you and your family through this exciting, but sometimes stressful, time. I will be attentive to you and your partner’s needs throughout the laboring process. I have a passion for helping people and I want to support birthing people before, during, and after their births. I believe that the birthing process is an extraordinary part of life. It is an honor to be a part of you and your family’s birth story.

​I will stay with you throughout the entire birthing process, and I am there an hour after for any additional support. I am a certified DONA Birth Doula, which means I have attended a three-day intensive training on the tools that are necessary to have when assisting with labor. I have the skills it takes to help you and your partner before, during, and after your birth.
